The Solent Saturday 3.30pm , looking West just at the entrance to Southampton Water, makes it all worth the struggle to keep the old Girl!!

Makes it worthwhile doesn't it. I was thinking that on Sunday, went over to Cowes, had pint of ale, roast beef and yorkshire pud in front of an open log fire at 'The Anchor', flat water both ways. Brilliant!

Were you on time and again? I thought I saw ones of those.

I was out in the rib for the raggie racing, just enough breeze to get them two races.

just got your voice msg about props, mine too are too thick, saturday I fitted new injector pipe as one had cracked, my fault for leaving the clamps off, on flat water did 29.8 knots ave of each direction on soton water and they only pull 2200, so hopefully a knot or so more when I have the props put right in the spring and with a clean bottom.

Hi Ben, have been a bit busy so not logged on much lately, was out on 'Here and Now' last week. Boat is useable but slow at just under 24 knots. Like you, I need props flattened a bit to get the revs back up, am at 2150rpm at present so thats another 300 to go yet and with a clean bottom should get her back to around 26knts max. Wont bother till March, will use boat as it is till then when the weather permits.
It sounds as though yours is flying, but as it is almost 'empty' it should go well!
The barometer pressure seems reasonably stable at present so maybe the weekend will be tolerable. Just off to the yard to put the dehumidifier and battery charger on. Cheers, P.
