A friend of my father, who has a Drascombe, has damaged his hull either by launching or recovering with a trailer. He is with Navigator & General on their small crafts policy, he doesn't want to call them and says there is nothing in the policy documents about trailer accidents but for accidents whilst towing are exempt!

Loss or damage whilst "ashore",
or "in transit by road"
is covered

But

"Scratching, denting, bruising and chafing whilst in transit by road, rail, air or ferry" is not

That is all that the policy document says! Your friend's father can but contact N&G for advice /clarification

Thanks folks I'll pass it on, he's an elderly chap and not so confident with this sort of thing apparently but he can now be assured it shouldn't be a problem just give them a call. Thanks
