Hi all

Just thought i'd ask before i go putting pen to paper and agree to buy this boat.
Its a Rinker 212 1998 in Boatshed.

Has anyone ever owned one of these or presently own one?

Cheers
Si

No, but did have a Rinker 182, which was a good solid boat. 99 year with a 3.0 litre Merc. Had no real issues apart from carb stuff on engine. Quality was good.

Not sure if that's any help

We had a rinker 250. Very good solid boat which survived the efforts of her present owner to totally wreck her in a force 8 by going aground etc etc.Shame but she is still looking good considering, & only needs a new engine cos he wrecked that as well. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks Overdraught and rubberduck, so far.
I'm hoping this Rinker(if i can nail the price) will be better built than my last Bayliner 2052.
Last boat did have the EFI engine which was gorgeous and highly missed and this Rinker has a carb, yuk.

OVERDRAUGHT what issues did you have mate with the carb and how did you sort it ,cheers.

I have a Rinker 190, great boat well built, a nice heavy deep vee hull, yesterday I saw another one in Poole Marina, so there's others still going strong. Motor is standard Mercruiser, I had carb issues last year, basically 20 years of accumulated crud, a decent fuel filter should remove that worry.

Hi.

I have recently bought a Rinker 266 but unfortunately im not really clued up enough to report on them (im a boating noobie).

I went for the Rinker after reading some really sparkling reviews on them. They are very highly rated in the USA (and Australia it seems).

If you do buy it and you need manuals for the boat and or engine etc then I may be able to assist as I have a load of stuff in both paper and electronic format.

Good Luck.
