Shades of Uncle Joe?

Is this the one where the candidate was photographed last year with a placard saying "stop the deportation of this asylum seeker from my constituency", or words to that effect, then doctored it to appear on the front page of his election pamphlet saying "controlled immigration" ?

A very foolish thing to doctor a photo, use it in an election leaflet and expect no one to notice.

Would you want such a stupid person representing you?

It was a local Conservative party plunder rather than a Central Office one but even so, utter plonker !

Incidentally, have a look at this:

Cute tool to tell you what your MP actually does and how much he/she claims in expenses. Useful for research for when they come knocking on your door next week.

The besieged Tory candidate telephoned Verah Kachepa to personally apologise for doctoring photographs of a campaign to block the deportation of the 44-year-old Malawian and her four children. He then issued a contrite public apology for his "STUPID MISTAKE'' before frantically trying to avoid being tracked down by the media.

One of these days Michael Howard is going to deny that he had the leading role in a number of Dracula films made in the 70's.

He might even go into denial that the Robber Barons are pulling his strings.
