Do you use a kill cord?

Always… I tend to keep it attached to my lifejacket and as I'm usually the one driving that works well as long as you remember to plug it in. Don't spend ten minutes like I did a month or so ago looking like a right plonker whilst I tried to start the engine without plugging it in. Expressed my supposed expertise in these matters by telling SWMBO that most issues starting outboards are lack of fuel, so had the cover off and checked everything before finding the real reason :redface-new:

Tender with a low power engine <5hp - depends on where, pottering in the river no, in an snchorage at speed yes
Big boat - never (dont even think most have them)

In the conditions on the video clip, sure I would always have the kill cord attached to my wrist and always have the throttle pinch bolt slack so it would return to idle.

Normally when using my rib as a tender in sheltered water I do not.
