Do You Like Fray Bentos Pies? Read This Before Deciding!

Best one I heard was the guy who ate most of a pie until he saw the mouse's tail in the remaining portion.....

Bloody typical.

The guy lives in Evesham and it's headlines in the Evesham Journal today a week after it appears in the Daily Wail.

I assumed this must be a second occurence.

No wonder local papers are going under. :(

I assume the Evesham Journal is still a weekly newspaper (it was when I was brought up in the Vale)

Mouth watering!

WHOH!!! Thats outrageous...... what the hell is the parent thinking..... cooking a FB pie at home!!! Wrong on many levels.

My first thoughts exactly. To hazard a FB pie for yourself at sea is one thing; to serve it up as dinner to your family land-side is a dreadful shame. I'd have done anything to keep an incident like that out of the papers.

Yes it is so I'm being a bit unfair. :o It came out today and I spotted it in Tescos.

Where were you brought up? We live on the old Abbey Manor Park Estate. Evesham people often know it because of the weddings they used to hold at the Manor House and the Leicester Tower folly which is in our "garden".

Need to get the story straight -

"When he looked more closely at the dish he was shocked to discover three maggots crawling out of the filling. "

"The three maggots found in the pie were dead. The best before date on the tin was January 2017."

Dash it, beaten to it.

What's worse than finding a maggot/slug in your lettuce?

Half of one!
