Got me a nifty app on rules and signals. Would you have a clue on what double flags mean on a boat? And it also lists what most call the red ensign as the civil ensign

Do you expect to need to refer to it often? The only flag signals I have seen in the last 30 years are racing classes & ladies brooches sold by Nauticalia.

Its a Pilot Jack, usually flown at the bow.
