We had a light dusting when we passed through, I was finding bits of it years later after many wash down's, its a sod to get rid of.

I don't think so, the marina had no problem with us washing down, and at the price they charge for water (it's on a meter) it's not a surprise, I doubt that the sulphur content does the deck any favours.
