Do you antifoul every year?

I have done for the last three years (International Interspeed Ultra) and previously, after pressure washing, the hull looked very clean. The boat lives in salt water (english channel).

Is it necessary to antifoul every year or could I risk missing a year and just lift and wash?
 
Try it and see!
Personally I 'save' by applying only one coat having found that two coats do NOT last for twice as long.
Proof in the pudding . . .
 
I can't say that I do and strongly suspect that I will regret this when I finally get the boat lifted! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Having said that, I have no idea what was used originally /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif and so far the dealership hasn't been able to tell me, mind you it doesn't help that they were taken over last year. Ho hum.
 
I don't antifoul at all now I am dry-berthing but when she was in the water permanently yes, every year.

In fact, around Plymouth I found that I had to have a pressure wash at the end of the summer too to see her through the winter.

I did 2 coats of International Uno on the boat with handkerchiefs and sticks and 2 coats of Blakes Hard Racing on the CO2 generator. Both would last a full year but only just... hence the scrub at the end of the season.
 
Used to on my last boat. Current boat has 6 year old coppercoat on it so just needs a wash & scrub (well thats all it got, back in the water now). its clean but doesn't look as pretty as freshly painted antifoul.
