In my never ending search (like many others) to keep the Seagulls of my boat. I have invested the princely sum of £14 for 2 rubber fake snakes to lay on the covers.

Does this work ?

I had one which did work for a year. I think the birds realised they didn't move a lot.

Seagull poop will eat through Sealine gel coat in seconds so I understand why you want to keep on top of it ?

Works for me, also during winter on the hard.

The first one I had was a small rubber copy which didn't impress birds. The second one is a 1:1 cobra snake standing in a ready-to-attack posture, fulfilling the task to make birds drop their bombs elsewhere.

Service life seems to be approx. one year due to fading and rubber disintegrating.
