Just listened to a Beeb report on the age spans of species:
It was recently discovered that the bow head whale lives to 200; the clam to 220 years. Fish in the Antarctic live between twice and ten times as long as their temperate counterparts.
The reason is that the conditions in which they live lead to a lowering of metabolic rates; look how long tortoises live....
My interpretation is therefore: take things easy, don't tear about, and for goodness sake, avoid any exercise whatever. Just take up boating.
