I have a 1980 addictor 190 and it doesn’t have a Hull # do I need to register this or what can I do ???

Welcome to the forum

If you are in the UK there is no requirement to register your private boat. Hull numbers only became a legal requirement in 1998 in a prescribed format ,although many builders before that did have some form of identification, but many did not.

So, nothing for you to worry about on that front. Just make sure you know how to use your boat safely and insure it against third party claims before you use it.

Search engines are your friend here. I have no idea (not in Canada) but a quick Google suggests that boat registration is not required for small leisure boats in Canada unless in commercial use or going abroad.

Ok I’m not in the UK I’m in Canada so does that make a difference and how would I regester it
Check locally regarding registration however I believe it may not be a requirement. However as your boat is a power boat you will be required to take the power boat course and obtain a Power Boat Operators Card.

This course can be done on line and various boat clubs hold exam sessions. I was able to obtain mine in Kelowna as StJohns Ambulance run the courses there .

Details and courses are available from many sources both on and off line and it will make you a safer power boat operator.

If your engine exceeded 10 HP may need to licence the craft.
