Have to mention the excellent service received from this firm yesterday. We made a major voyage, 300 yards to the fuel barge. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
On trying to leave, no engine - not even an attempt to start. Tried all the usual things, hit it, swore at it, even shoved the wiring around. Nothing.
Called DMQ and within 20 minutes Duncan was alongside with his box of tricks. He looked into the engine bay, said "Oh what's this? Try it again now". It started first time. I'd been peering in there and had missed the thin wire that had become detached from the solenoid.
Full marks to Duncan and DMQ for :
1) Turning up and fixing the problem so promptly.
2) Keeping an almost straight face when explaining the problem to the prat in charge (me).
3) Reducing his call out charge 'cos he didn't have the heart to charge full rate.
Can't recommend too highly.
Usual disclaimer - no interest, no connection, yada yada yada.
