Not much to it. I made my own for my 'old' boat and plan do do similar for my 'new' one. I used Sunbrella fabric. The bottom part wraps around the foot-rope and both are slid together into the slot of the boom; It does not affect the functioning of the outhaul. Around halfway up each side there is a long pocket, fore & Aft, into which I inserted a 10-foot length of rigid plastic water pipe (cheap as chips). Alongside these two pockets I sewed three stainless triangles to which the lazy-jacks attach. The top is closed by a long plastic tooth zipper, which is bought by the metre. I took the cheap way and did not use the type that has open ends. (The aftermost end extends for a few inches beyond the clew. At the front end, where the zipper slider stops, there is a 4-ich wide band made from doubled Sunbrella that is wrapped around the mast and tied in place. The front section is provided with brass eyelets on one side and lengths of 5mm line on the other flap, sewn on their middle; reeve through the eyelet and tie a reef knot. When sailing the loose sides and the flaps at the front are folded into the suspended sides of the pack.

Please, Puff could you give some costs ?

The main cost is the fabric. I had to buy that, as well as the two lengths of plastic pipe and the nylon thimbles for the lazy jacks. All the rest, i.e., the thread, eyelets, zipper tape, Stainless triangles, line for the easy-jacks, etc, I already had - as well as the sewing machine. Like I said, the main cost is the Sunbrella; not cheap, but well worth it. I think that I paid something in the vicinity of €9 - €11 per metre for it. It is quite wide and, with careful planning, you only need the length of the boom plus around one extra metre of material. Check the available widths as there are two ( IIRC they are 1400mm and 1600mm. Something like that). Make a scale drawing of the pieces and fit them on the width before you decide on how much fabric you need.
