DIY Repair of a Simrad TP10 Tiller Pilot

A bit like myself, the light is on, but nothing happening !

Was fine a couple of weeks ago, but that was motoring into a F5 and slabs of spray going a third up the main.

So TP10 did get a bit wet.

There was an excellent article PBO 600 by Mark Ashford in repairing a ST2000.

Has anyone opened up a TP10 and repaired it?

The very first thing to check is that the 12V supply is able to provide the current required. Tiller pilots are quite sensitive to poor connections and corrosion in plugs/sockets etc.

If it's had a good soaking, try putting it in an airing cupboard or other warm, dry place for a while before you expend any money or effort on it.
