New to the area and still with work to do, so I'm looking for diy sheds or good hardware shops around Preveza / Lefkas. I'll need timber, plywood, electrical fittings and stainless steel bits as well as the usual hardware fixings.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
BTW will be travelling by car from Athens AP to Aktion Ionian in the afternoon of the 4th November if anyone wants a lift. ( share petrol)

Timberyard on road out of Lefkas going toward Nidri, if you reach Lidls you've passed it on the left. Best DIY shop is on the same road going back towards town on the corner next to Shell garage its got almost everything.

Far and away the best hardware store is at the top end of Levkas town.

Up the main drag, the one that runs along the waterfront, past the police station along the section of road with a centre reservation to where it curves to the north. There is a set of traffic lights there ( turned off and unused and the only lights in lefkas iirc ) turn left and go straight out keeping to the left side of the fork. Opposite the small Carrefour supermarket. Place called Katisma . Small woman in there speaks Greek like a native but also speaks Australian and is used to dealing with yotties requirements. Gas, Stainless hardware, tools, Sikaflex and lots of other carp. Within 50m of them ( next to the Shell station ) is the best auto electrician in town capable of crimping up large battery cables and can supply batteries. Round the corner from the traffic light, on a street called Mpoumpoulinas is a tool shop with some seriously good hand and machine tools. Sort of behind the Alpha Bank at the traffic light. If you follow the main road outside Katisma around towards Nidri, just before Lidl on the left is the timber yard mentioned by JonJon.

In Preveza itself one of the best tool shops is behind the police station, between the main road and the bay on Parmenious street It's actually the back shop behind a place called 'NivARTia' which sells paving and garden stone. Look out for the guard dog, don't be tempted to try to make friends with it! Poor sod has been tied under a tree for years.

In the few years I was refitting Cariad I rarely battled to find anything, had to drive to Athens for formica ( genuine ) but it was 1/3 the price of the same stuff in the UK which paid for the drive there and back anyway!

Hi Vic I'll be around Preveza / Lefkas from the 6th to the 16th of November. I'll have a car. But it's small and your chain and my anchor would probably kill it. Beers are on you. I'll pm my contact details to you later
