Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !
First, let me say, I'm not sure this is the right forum to put this thread. I appoligize is I am wrong !
We are a group of people in China, who loves to sail. And It is too expensive to to buy sail boats
from importer/agents/dealers, due to the 43% or higher import tax. 2nd hand use sail boats(all 2nd
hand boats) are band from import. Then, we tried some domestic build sail boats. They are also
expensive and poorly made.
So, we come to the idea od DIY, making our own boat by ourselves.
Of course, we don't know how ? We searched as much information from internet as we could.
We call our experiental baot GR-750. G.R. stands for Grass Roots. 7.5 meters.
We took all the original designs from J24, and we try to modify it as much as we could.
All the funds put into this project are donated by sail boat and sailing enthusiasts within our friends.
And of course they are very limited. We can allow it to be wasted.
This is why I'm here to seek your guidance.
Wishing this project will not fail. And we would have an opportunity in the future, to bring this sail
boat into the sailing world in China. For every one who wants to sail, could afford it.
