Almost forgot to make this report,
Last year in October we did our first dive Cruise with Blue Angel in SOF.
Remember this was the original purpose when searching for a boat like this.
11 friends onboard, 5 couples and one young lady
We also had 2 dogs onboard, and for them we had to go in a marina each night.
Leaving from Cassis, a couple of nights around porcerolles, then a night in Toulon, and then back to Cassis area.
Spot the boat in Cassis:
One couple from our group just married the week before, so we gave them the owners cabin with appropriate decoration.
Swmbo and myself enjoyed the crew Cabin all week ! yes we did !!
So many folks on board, all beds were occupied, this is the second guest cabin:
Inspecting before departure
Yup we go,
Swmbo doing the fenders
All dive gear was on the cockpit, 6 divers (including myself) but I preferred staying on the boat most of the time.
Stepping down on that ladder, soon to be replaced by real steps
Oops, now you know why I remained on the boat while the other divers went down
After the dive, hot shower on the platform
This was my first time IN the harbour of Porquerolles, in summer its usually full. We got a mooring along that fleming, on the left side of this pic.
Look at the crowd leaving the ferry from mainland, this is October, imagine what it is in july august.
We had no crew, nor cook, and the deal with my friends was that each couple had to take care of cooking one evening.
First night was swmbo’s turn, she prepared her famous “Pasta Alfonso” (vongole)
Heading towards dive spot “Donateur wreck” blue buoy’s on the wreck.
This is a few miles behind Porquerolles. At far distance you can see islands Port Cros and Ile du Levant, and diver ribs on another dive spot / wreck
All ready for the jump off the platform ?
And going down along the buoy lines
Max depth is 53m so less then 30 minutes dive time
Divers doing safety stops at 5m before making surface, and showing their position with their marking buoy
This is a divespot near red dot bay. The white boy is for diver boats but written on it: max40 Ton, so not for us, we dropped our anker at 20m from this buoy.
Lunch time was in red dot bay
Only 3 other boats around
