Disgusting Yachties

Have you seen the thread on Scuttlebutt about yachties and personal hygene? It seems they rarely wash whilst at sea (or even at home). Yeuk! Just because a chap is at sea, there's no reason to allow standards to fall to the level of your average Frenchman. And the yachties have the nerve to call us "stinkpotters"? Ha!

now I understnad the saying "Cut the wash" it doesn't mean slow down at all it means stop washing and keep in wish us raggies :)

What about rowies - they say it too but have no facilities on board - the ultimate then ?

So whats all the wandering around pontoons with towel round neck, I could never get the hang of that. Is it all for show. Mind you I dont blame them. I've tried al that standing on one leg trying to get the sock and shoe on when the floor in the marina showers is piss wet through. Tried it once so always shower on boat with heating turned up. It's alot less bother than a hover!! around the marina, clothes all wet though before you get out of the shower block and usualy even wetter when arived back at boat. So I see, they just ponce up and down the pontoon just so it lookes good!!

Re: Wash

No probs, I've not been around a long time, but long enough to know that 90% of MBC is fun and boll*x!

Having said that, I'm surprised it took you all so long to pick up on what was obviously a nebulous thread! Could be a case of people in glass houses.....

Re: T48 PGD

I wish :), just fancied a change of pick so linked to it off the Fairline web site, they are rather nice - and of couse Pauline B looks like her pick doesn't she, not that I know her or have met the lady, just assuming the same philosophy?

Just think I could have spun a great yarn here and pretended to be an international playboy - now there's a thought :)
