Spectrum Too came with a set of disc cutters between the P brackets and props like so:

They just get in the way when we need to remove the props.

Any views on whether these are effective or not - we have to decide whether to refit them?

Just to ensure you are well informed before making any decisions.
The comparison of rope cutters that is featured in the Sailing today test and listed above on the ropestripper website was carried out in 2000 I believe, at least two years before a new invention that protects drives from debris was launched in the UK.

There are now three types of shaft drive protection to choose from, Disc (as you have already) Scissor (ropestripper, gator and Spurs) and shaver (QuicKutter)

There are pros and cons with respect to each type, and also when associated with different types or designs of drive set up.

I hope this helps in your decision making.
