My sail maker is about 10 miles away. We have a coffee, swap war stories, I get excellent service, I've dropped an urgent repair in at 1800 and picked it up at 1200 the following day, and he feeds his family.

Sail makers should charge standard prices for attending to UK made sails with a horrible loading for fixing up these overseas jobs.

Richard lives in Hong Kong and the sails are made in Shenzen in China. Typically 10-20% cheaper than a UK loft on mainsails because of the higher labour content, less on foresails. No reason why they should not be OK if you want a standard sail and are OK with your own measurements. Usually has good winter offers.
