Diode replacement

I have a Perkins prima M50 engine and one of the diodes has broken off resulting in no revs on the rev counter. The diode is a Lucas RD953048, but I can't find any info on the interweb about this. Does anybody know what diode I could replace this with?

Yeah I believe thats the one. On one of searches the 83225A number came up in brackets. I see that one has been sold but I'll email the seller just in case. Thanks

Man from Ebay he say no. Does anybody know what I could use instead of the 83225 diode.

Did the man from Ebay say why or did he just say no because he doesn't know and its not worth the risk for him ?

What about one of these

All the diode does is let current through one way and not the other so provided to amps are right and the voltage is over what you need anything will do. Even a standard one from RS with a couple of spade terminals soldered on would do the trick.

I'm convinced its an auto one.
