The Inshore Lifeboat was called out to search for an overdue yachtsman in the river Deben. After mooring his yacht, the yachts tender boat broke free and drifted up river. The yachtsman inflated a small rubber dinghy and headed off up river after his boat. At low tide both boats ended up ashore in the mud. He was eventually assisted to the lifeboat by the coastguard mud rescue team. All boats and yachtsman were eventually reunited back to the yacht by lifeboat
