Hi all,

Have been offered a new exel sd290 which has been stored in a shed and got at by rats, there are 4 holes not bigger than 1/4".
Question is, is the boat repairable to a decent standard and at what sort of cost?
I do not have a clue about inflatables but do need one for this season so any advice would be welcome.

Every thing you need to repair it is available from Polymarine

Instructions on the Advice/ tech sheet tab, also list of material differnt makes are made of (but excels are PVC)

Go for it!

You can repair it with the two part stuff. Forget bostic, it's just crap. Ideally you need a patch on the inside as well as above.
Theres a Polymarine site that will advise. But I'm not terribly impressed by them.

[/ QUOTE ] Bostik make the two part adhesives. Bostik 2402 with hardener D10 is the stuff for Hypalon and excellent too. Don't know what the adhesive for PVC is off hand, not had to repair one of those yet.

Polymarine sell their own brand. might even be made by Bostik, who knows.

I dont think I'd enlarge a 1/4" hole in order to put a patch on the inside!

The important thing is to get the right (preferably 2part) adhesive for PVC.
