Our Wayfarer is in our front garden in London - we're moving to Dorset and I'm hoping to store and sail in Poole Harbour, preferably on the south side as we are at Worth Matravers.

Can anyone recommend a sailing club or dinghy park with access to Poole Harbour and / or Studland?

Thanks,

Tim

Parkstone Yacht Club seem pretty good to me, only limited experience as a visitor but they're to the North; how about Wareham, Redcliffe YC ? Not sure they do dinghies, but a very friendly club, if no dinghies there the yard / slip next door must be a good bet and I'm sure Redcliffe would advise - 01929 551227.

A long way to Studland from there but the river & 'lake' is lovely, can't think of anywhere else to the S as all private in the harbour.

Id second the River Frome. Learnt to dinghy sail at Redcliffe
BUT
AFAIK the yacht club dont "do" dinghies

The launching ramp and boat park are AFAIK part of Redcliffe Farm camping site ( happy days!)

Ridge Wharf , the next place down stream has facilities for trailer boats so may be a possibility but not if it costs an arm and a leg every time you launch. ( another campsite there!)

Didn't have these bug gers to contend with when I dinghy sailed there
