Hello to all I'm a new member and just recently bought my first boat (snapdragon 23). I have also just bought a grp dinghy which I would like to repaint interior and exterior can anyone suggest which paints I should use? She is kept on the beach so thinking of a tough finish for the hull. Thanks steve j

Welcome Steve
i have been on & around the Deben since 1973 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif we have a mooring @ Ramsholt

the toughest will be 2 pack poly
it will actually bond to the hull & wont peel off.
it wont be the cheapest option & temps will need to be much higher than @ present to get it to harden off.

Welcome

We had to repaint some of the Sea Scout dinghies last winter and used International Brightside on the exterior and have found that it has stood up to the wear and tear of 25 10 to 14 year olds dragging the boats up and down on the sand / shingle etc.

For the interior we used about half Brightside half some left over exterior gloss white and added non slip powder. That too has worked well.

Hi chaps thanks for the swift replies, I shall consider your recommendations. I'm on the river Deben by the way so if theres anything I should know re type of antifouling in this area eg shell, slime etc would be grateful for tips. Thanks steve j
