How do people get their inflatable from water to deck without damaging their back?

This is one of the jobs I do on my own, I made a harness and resorted to using the main halyard after a couple of lifts over the weekend, but am worried that by doing this regularly I could do some damage either to the top of the mast or to the halyard - any sugtgestions?

use of main halliard is common. if you're worried about the lead at the masthead, the spinnaker halliard, perhaps using spinnaker boom as a crane, would be perfectly safe. the boom held by topping lift is another poss.

i use my boom for lifting everything including engines.
