there's no excuse for not having a pot to piss in these daysThe one tip I’d give dinghy cruisers is not to stand on the Folly pontoon and piss in the river so close to us that the splashes go on our boat. My wife takes offence at strange men with their cocks out, and it's disgusting. Last year, when we were moored there, a dinghy cruising rally took place, this must have happened 10 or more times. We appreciate you don’t have a toilet on board, just go somewhere where nobody can see, please.
They wouldn't need a bottle with such a wide neck.

They’d have a job to find it after that! We have moved moorings, and no longer suffer such things, but your advice is noted, for any future occasions." My wife takes offence at strange men with their cocks out, and it's disgusting. "

Keep a can of this on board...They will only do it once.

Mmm… I’ve done some dinghy cruising. It was definitely more relaxing WITH and engine! Not just tides but Wx forecasts that turn out to by make believe, kit failures etc…Dinghy cruising is so relaxing. No stress. If you run aground you can push off, if you bump into something you can fend off with no damage. Just drifting down the river. I like the way he goes with no outboard but I think then you'd need to do more planning and you're a bit constrained by tides more than I'd like. But still something nice about engineless being an option with a little boat compared to a bigger one.
The calm before the squall is a worry isn't it, with no engine. Just when you need it the sky goes black and the wind dies...Mmm… I’ve done some dinghy cruising. It was definitely more relaxing WITH and engine! Not just tides but Wx forecasts that turn out to by make believe, kit failures etc…
For every stress that gets better with a dinghy there’s another that appears (capsizing, towing/launching, comfort, etc).
He's just starting out and very sensibly started small. He can explore all the places big boats can't get and when he feels his range is restricted get a bigger boat. Here he's trying out how going to the IoW is on a 39fter (a bit dull)He hasn't quite snapped the Umbilical Cord yet has he? Sail and oar, no engine but it's still we're doing 1.4 knots and...poking the screen...just approaching Greenbank, we've travelled 4.25 miles since 10.00 Hrs.
You're in a Dinghy in charted waters..Chuck it in the Oggin mate, or just use it to 'phone Mum. ..
