I'm looking for a rough idea of how much it might cost to have a cover (or is the correct term a 'gaiter'?) made in Greece for 2.7m inflatable tender.

At those prices, for my money they can stay on the shelf. Under 100 euro in materials and easy enough to make if you have a sewing machine.

Actually not so easy to make. I know of canvas workers who really hate them. Very fiddly to get all the cutouts right for the loops and rowlocks plus the shape has to be exactly correct otherwise they won't stay on when a dink is upto speed.

Sure if you can borrow a set of templates then no probs but otherwise be prepared for a lot of cut and try.

Having made one for the first time this last winter, without the benefit of templates, I stand by my original statement - quite easy to make but, I agree the first one is time consuming as you have to play it by ear as you go. Maybe it's not up to the standard of some professionals but it's better than a couple of expensive ones I've seen.

I'm afraid that making one is out of the question - no sewing machine + a complete lack of creative flair. Still hoping that someone may come up with a ballpark figure for having one made in Greece.

However, I have noticed that Honda do 'off the shelf' all-over covers for Honwaves for around £100 so that may be the way to go.
