Can I applaud Digital Yacht and their support?

We have just fitted an iNAVConnect and WL510 router and wi-fi booster. Installation issues were experienced caused by not having the latest installation guides and using a local wi-fi that unknown to us was experiencing its own issues.

Support from Digital Yacht was spot-on. The system works really well.

Just a happy customer (no connection etc etc)

Interesting comment. In simple terms I take it that this is a booster for marine wi fi and then an internal wi fi hot spot for your mobo?

Is it easy to use? and does it need installation onto the cabin or all up on the aerial side?
I see glomax now have a all in one

Yes.

A high gain external aerial with very low loss coax to a WL510 'booster', which in turn connects to the iNAVConnect Wi-Fi 'hot spot' router. Some crazy claims are made on range. Certainly it seems that local marina wi-fi can be used up to 5nm away, but some users report up to 15nm (really? Hmmm). But as far as I'm concerned, provided I can get the local marina when moored up, that's good enough for me.

Any amount of wi-fi items can connect at the same to the iNAVConnect, so both our laptops, iPADs, smartphones etc.

Turn it all on, access the iNAVConnect, open browser, connect to the WL510, scan for signals, choose the one you want, select, and after a few moments you're live.
