"When you require a compact antenna, or want that sleek low profile look without the bulky weight of a large antenna, then the VEGA TV antenna mod. V9114 is the perfect solution. Made from ASA, it can withstand the harsh marine environment, and with a totally screened, low noise amplifier built in the antenna case, it ensures you receive the best reception possible for VHF and UHF frequencies in both analogue and digital domains. To balance the appearance on your boat you can match it with the RA121 Low Profile VHF antenna. "
An aerial is just a lump of metal, which needs basically to be as large and as high as possible.
The best aerials were all "invented" in the early 1880s,and despite several attempts to reinvent the wheel or aerial in this case,basically...... big is better.
If you do not want a decent aerial on board due to aesthetics, why not chuck the telly over the side, preferably during yet another tedious reality game show or joy of joys another tedious sports programme. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Wonder why boat builders have never "buried" receiving antennas wether for marine VHF or TV/radio inside the flybridge mouldings during the layup. You could hide vast quantities of alloy tape or copper wire in there and no one would be any the wiser.
