I know that some peeps on here have in the past suggested use of scart socket digital tuners of a compact size to improve tv reception. I've seen a few of these on the net in the 35 - 50 quid bracket which seem to be ideal. My only question is this: do they all require a separate low voltage supply via a brick? Our TV is fixed to a bulkhead above the inside helm which is quite a good position to view it, but a long way from any power socket and I don't want to get into cannibalising the wiring and woodwork to get to the mains the tv is wired into. Any suggestions?

We've got the BUSH one (also sold under different names I think) - it requires a separate power supply, as I would imagine all do - doubt if you could draw enough current from the SCART socket.
