Hi all

Hoping for some help from the well informed bunch on here !
Long story short, the whittal davits on the Princess 385 have been damaged during the recent storm we suffered.
Given they aren’t made any longer and very hard to replace or find used like for like, I have the chance at purchasing a set of davits from a Sealine 365 (I believe). I am not certain what kind of davits these are, but they look very much like Simpson davits but without the external showing fixing bolts.
The question might be if any knows if the bolt pattern between the two are identical or not. Sorry for the vagueness here, but I’m not at the boat currently and difficult to measure without removing them all together perhaps as things are just now.
I was hoping the learned on here might just know or be familiar with each of these types mentioned above.
Any help, advice or otherwise is greatly appreciated. Picture is of the intended davits that may be from a sealine 365. Please correct me if anyone knows the model type.
All the best and TIA

They look like Simpson davits to me and my guess would be that the bolt pattern will be the same as as the holes on the external bolt type but that is my guess as opposed to actual knowledge. In any event, even if they are not it wouldn’t be difficult to get some new mounts or adapters fabricated and knowing how rare it is for decent used davits to appear for sale it might be worth grabbing them anyway.

We recently had bespoke mounts fabricated for our Hardy so that we could install davits that had been languishing in the garage.

Thanks Greg. Great point about making adapter plates to fit. Thanks very much for the info too. Much obliged

Have you considered having the Whittal=l=l=l=l=bgkbhr kmo gtc
gd=-d=d=d=0-j0 `
Hi there. Didn’t catch the last bit of that. You mean having it repaired ? I’d say it’s beyond that. Creased over like an old cortina car Ariel I’m afraid.

Sorry, didn't mean to post. Cleaned my keyboard and seem to have over-done the fluid! On the Ipad now. I'm sure someone will buy your old davits and repair them however bad they seem.
Yeah. Turns out you’re right. Think we have a buyer for them already locally. Thanks again pcuk

Just to close the post out. I went down south to collect the davits today. Quote sure they are either Simpson D150 or D175 models. Find out tomorrow in the daylight. Look to be great quality. Came from a large sealine boat. Bolt pattern looks either identical or near as damn it.
Thanks all for the help.
