Just a bit of feedback. I cut a hole in my stainless diesel tank in situ for an inspection plate. El nibbler ( just a bolt on goody to an electric drill) did a splendid job tank was only about 1.2 mm thick. Not as much muck as I thought in the tank and of course "Murphy" got me, there was a full height baffle between where I cut the hole and the outlet pipe to the engine so I was unable to eyeball the whole tank but gained an impression of its condition.
If I had known then what I know now would probably have used Soltron or similar to save a lot of fannying about with mixed results anyway. Engine running fine.

Can you get your new nibbler inside to cut an eyeball hole in the baffle?

It can always be plated over if needs be.

Not really my inspection plate is too small as it is I have to stand on my head to see inside. Where are all the small children when you need them?
