Diesel Supplies in Messolonghi

Having found the marina most unhelpful about fuel supplies I got on my bike and found a tanker who will deliver to the water front on the NE corner of the town quay - he cannot go into the marina.

His number is 0030 6972 288223. Came 30 minutes after call.

Don't call between 14:00 and 18:00 as that is siesta time - there will be no answer. I rang at 19:00 and he was there at 19:30. Price €1.60 per litre.

But maybe the small tanker is one of the "approved" subcontractors, who is not available until the day after tommorrow? Compare and contrast with any other Greek quay, when you just whistle and the tanker is there

We asked for fuel in the office (Yiannis) and the tanker came at a given time - no problem.

Yep! He was here last evening. Small black tanker, no markings. Sadly I missed him and we're off to Poros Keff. in a few minutes.

Since our last visit this marina has improved vastly. Also there are now TWO good tavernas in the town and the fish at the "Rooster's Egg" was wild caught and very well presented. Also the owner, who also runs the bar in the marina, chauffeured us there and back at no charge (pre-arranged for us by the marinero - Spuros as he helped us in). Two starters, two mains (Sea Bream X2) one filter coffee, one greek, one half litre and a half bottle of wine = €41.

All the pontoon berths were full but we were found a space on the wall with full facilities elec. now free but water is €0.5/100litres. WiFi free (with code) and I am writing on it now.

Went into the office today to ask about winter prices. Also asked if we could come in and get water, charged at .50 euro 100l (fair enough) and diesel, was told we'd have to pay for a days stay @ 21 euros for the pleasure.
