Are we supposed to keep them in the log book to prove 60/40 split?
Also how do we prove 60% is for heating or running engine to charge batteries and to be honest wheather the engine is running for propulsion or moored charging batts , whats the difference?

No for the UK.
No if going foreign.
You cant unless your prepared to keep detailed records that no one will believe anyway.
No one cares except Johnny Foreigner and no amount of receipt waving will change his mind that you have not paid VAT on some of the fuel.

In other words don't bother and be thankful that you are getting a discount on some. I believe that sooner or later it will all be sold will full taxation. If you are a legitimate business user the tax will be claimed back where appropriate.
