I need to top up our 'substantial' fuel tank over the WE. If the long-term forecasts are to be believed, I looks like I will be doing a lot of motoring in the near future.
What's the going price at the moment on the Orwell? 60/40 split

SYH: £0.96/ltr
...

Woolverstone are often cheap, they have a big throughput. Ring them first though to see when they last had a delivery, if it's in the last few days avoid them, nasty stirred up bits in the tank take a couple of days to settle out.

Paid 80p a litre at Titchmarsh last month, discounted by 2p due to amount, almost 1000 litres. Think that discount applies to anything over 200 litres.

paid 0.83 p/l at Shotley for the thick end of 200l on Saturday (60/40)

Tempting, but last time I imquired (years ago) I was told I could not lock in/out just for fuel - I would have to stay the night.
That way, my savings would be all but wiped out.

SYH have been consistently the most expensive on the river for as long as I can remember

:(
Though, there was a while - last year IIRC - where they were the cheapest around.

What's the going rate at Fox's these days?

So did I. B&Q sell 20 litre Jerry cans or get them off the ,net. I bought 4 and transferred 80 litres at a time. Saving was very substantial.
