Bonjour Francois,
unfortunately not many Sport Fisher lovers on here,
something I was very surprised about, when I was looking for one 10y ago.
because I like the styling, and find the models very user friendly, for different applications:
summer day boat / fishing / diving, and the occasional overnight.
and most of the models we know are very sea worthy boats.

here some good memory's on our Karnic 2660, showing a few completely different holliday's:

Open diesel powered boats are not common and for good reasons. Diesel engines are nosier than petrol hence need a good noise proof engineroom ...which takes up space. Diesel engines often tend to 'smell' a bit more than petrol engines.
Diesel engines are best suited for longcruises , of which a hardtop cabin is naturally expected to provide the comforts for the long journey.
That said , check the Novurania 710 Diesel.

Hello Bart,

i agree with your statement you describe exactly the use i have ....unfortunatly few diesel versions...for consumption reasons when i do more than 400h/Y!

your pics are great!

many thanks very difficult to find a diesel open boat!

Have you trawled through FAFB? i'd be amazed if there was nothing, look at commercial 8-10, as well as leisure, angling etc. For instance, ( my cut and paste failed again, why?) go to fafb and search 'hard chine barracuda'

yes, a lochin is a serious bit of kit and was the base hull for one of the lifeboats. A Cygnus Cyfish is very much the same model, in fact I think a copy but wider.
