Diesel leak

I need a gasket (either flexible solid or mastic to make one) which will stand continuous immersion in diesel. Any suggestions please?

Sounds like a trip to local automotive supplies to me. Should be able to get some suitable gasket material to cut to size.

I think butile rubber sheet is the right material, I made some inspection hatches for my fuel tanks and used butile rubber sheet, seems to be ok two years later on.

Nitrile rubber is the diesel proof material generally recommended.

Be very very careful if you use one of the instant gasket goos in any fuel system ,the tiniest excess drop WILL sooner or later find its way into you filters and ...................
