Diesel exhaust marks on transom

Hi all

I have a oily diesely exhaust line/mark ingrained in the grp across my transom I'v tried allsorts of cleaners without success . Short if using 60 grit sand aer I'm at a lost how to clean it off . Any ideas ???

Once again use Oxalic acid. You may then need to use a gel coat restorer such as http://www.farecla.com/#/268

I used to have a dirty line on my transom for three years in succession, I used to cleaned it off after every long motoring trip. Finally stopped it last summer, started using a fuel conditioner and bug additive called Marine 16, now I get hardly any marks on the transom.

Nothiing as severe as 60 grit. If all else fails try very fine (1000 grit) wet sand paper and then t cut then polish,
 
get your engine serviced.:D

Thats just the problem, engine is fine nice clear exhaust .

Thats Ksutton will try some of that this year .

Sorry Spyro thanks for your tip . The reference to 60grit was tongue in cheek .
