JUst wondering which are better engines for a Cat-
Twin Renault diesals (overhauled 04/05) or
Twin Nanni diesals 21hp
Obviously depends on age condition etc, but which is the better make?
Thanks, Selina

No really bad diesel engines, but as you give no details of the size and displacement of the boat you should check that the power is adequate. If the Renaults are automotive engines converted for marine use (marinised) you should check that this was professionally done. Beware of any "conversion" that uses seawater to cool the engines directly, rather than through a heat exchanger.

Nanni are re-badged Kubota engines, for which spares are available worldwide. The same engine in used in a lot of commercial areas (e.g. cement mixers etc)
Beta use the same block with a few variations. so these should be a pretty good bet.
