Diesel Declaration

Filled up with diesel this afternoon for first time this year. Had to complete a declaration form with name address, boat name and that red diesel was being purchased for use in boat. New to me.....anyone seen any 'official' word on this development?

Seems to be a crack down.

Forms in Yarmouth this pm, not only for boats, but also more detailed forms to supply fill in if you want to fill portable containers (eg emergency fuel onboard) detailing what the fuel to be used for

Nope,but will be filling up this week,will be interesting to see if any paperwork needed.

No crack down just the latest customs regulation see there site on vat etc
All people who have fuel delivered have to be registered.

Its all over the place now, even up here, the VAT are cracking down
I bet they are cross-referencing people with the cars they have,
so expect some tank dipping if you own a diesel car!

Must be something very new. - Filled up in Salcombe, Cowes, Eastbourne and Dover a few weeks ago on a quick trip up the channel (She's a bit thirsty - the wife that is!) without a hint of a form.

Bit difficult to tel. Go some places. Have to fill five forms in triplicate. Go some where else and no forms at all. Think that there all trying to keep o right side of SS troupes!!
