Thanks for everyone's input on this.
Neil_S . Good idea about the oily rags. I have squirted some generous sqirts of engine oil into the cylinder head through through the air inlet of my DV10. With the decompression lever opened I might be able to get some of that oil into the exhaust valve area. I had not thought of condensation causing rust - but you are right. I have to take the exhaust elbow off as well to better re-position my water trap and exhaust run. I will slop oil all over the place to keep it clear and oily. I do have the opportunity to visit the boat almost daily if I wish. So can keep things nice and free on those visits.
