Did the buyer get a good deal on this?

I'd say that price was about right, looks in quite good condition, clearly winterised and stored and they are quite rare. The pictures were a bit dodgy and 45knots top speed...i wonder. It says its in port Grimaud but the majority of the pics of it are in Marine des cogolin and then they used a photo of the thunderhawk 43 ( they are totally different boats).

Well, I'd say the buyer has paid over the odds as there's a couple of the same type of boat for sale on ybw.com for less than £40k and one of those has re-engined diesels. And whats all that bollox about St Tropez when the e bay ad says the item is located in Faversham and would you buy anything from an outfit called Piranha Corporation!!

Nope......not a great deal in my view, could have done better else where, those petrols will suck the go go juice like the clappers. I'd put money on it will never get near 45knts with 20 year old motors either, doubt it hit 45knts when new.

Yep, agree with above. Considering we bought a Thunderhawk 43 8 years ago, for about 50k and that had new 502s and could manage 45knots flat out.

I must confess I looked at that item several times when it was on Ebay and would have bid too. I just didn't relish buying a boat in France and having to F about getting it back. I honestly don't know prices on these, had it been a Broom or Prinnie I would have had a better idea. I have bought on Ebay before my best acquisition for £8,000 selling it for £17,000 only a month or two later.

No Way,

I watched this sale with eager anticipation. The advert was a Marketing Masterclass and drew in the punters. All the hot buttons were there from £400k to James bond, and the buyer fell for them all. I will, however, be surprised if the buyer pays in the cold light of day.

I would put this at £25k, maybe a bit more because of service history. The boat is great but at 39ft it has a lot of useless space on it and is not that user freindly! Then you have the engines and that exhaust system...please nooooo.

Nice boat...wrong price.
