doing around 30 kts on a jet ski? Don't know which country they were from but it wasn't the queens English spoken. Didn't take any interest when told to slow down by numerous people. Aren’t Jet skis illegal on the Thames?

There were a few out yesterday, (see my other post) There are also an increasing amount of 12 / 14ft tenders with 15hp / 20hp that have clearly been launched for the day and have no knowledge of speed limits. Don't get me wrong its great that folk are discovering and exploring the river / boating but they need to learn the rules!

However that the first I have ever heard of a jetski! aka personal watercraft as Kawasaki get the arse..

Have always wondered about PWC's on the Thames. I guess technicaly they are a Boat / tender so as long as they are used below the speed limit they could be registered. Not sure about BSC tho !

We had some inflatables up here over the weekeend with biggish engines flying at around planning speeds , however these were tenders for larger boats who should have known better. Worse still it was kids on them.

Not being closed as such, just a consultation document at the moment, to which anyone can air their views, though the changes are pretty sensible, so should eventually go into force of law in one form or another
