Did anyone ever find the story on Mr. Splice

Following on from the question from alistairr around new year time, what did happen to Mr. Splice? Did anyone ever hear anything. Sad they are gone, I got some great deals. Was he selling too cheap and went bust or made his fortune and retired.

David i too am sorry they have gone, if thats the case!
I have seen then selling from a Van at the Irvine Boat Jumble, and will look out for them when its on in a few weeks.

I have not heard anything else about them.

They have been at our local jumble at the Hop Farm in Kent for the last 2/3 years but were not at the last one a month ago. They were at SIBS last year.

The last time I saw him at Irvine he had just driven up overnight, had no help and was completely shattered.
I felt quite sorry for him.

His prices were good -perhaps too good to make adequate profits-.
especiolly when making multiple purchases.

I bought quite a lot of rope from him.

As you were saying Alistairr, I wonder if he will make Irvine this time.
