I brought a diesel drip stove (Sigmar 100) back from NY about 10 years ago. I like it. However, it turns out that the O-rings are no longer supplied for maintenance and you are expected to buy a new valve unit (Dickinson Spares Archives - Page 2 Of 2 - Kuranda UK Ltd). I got some of the O-rings sent over. They told me the sizes of these but no-one in the UK that I could find had the Sigmar size available. Not sure about the Dickinson O-ring.

That lack of O-rings is problematic for anyone considering buying, in my view. Rather than a few pence, maintenance becomes nearly £200.

Dickinson said:

"The viton O-ring sizes for the Dickinson and Sig Marine valves are below. Hope this helps!

Dickinson: .290” OD x .140” ID
Sig Marine: .320” OD x .170” ID"

In case anyone knows a source.

Tried them. No luck.

Simply Bearings do a viton O ring using 1.3 mm cord and an ID of 4.3 mm I would try these .

Nitrile Rubber O Rings: Probably one of the most widely used and simplest types of seal they are found everywhere from plumbing installations to the space shuttle, they are common in [show more]...

One other thing worth trying is my favourite yacht chandlers. They DO export and these would hide in an envelope. They also stock Dickinsons products. Just happen to be across an ocean and a continent.

Viton works at a higher temperature than nitrile, I think. The stoves can blast out a goodly bit of heat.

I do actually have some O-rings which will do me for a few years (sent from Dickinson themselves) so I don't personally need them now. The point I was making was that they say they will no longer supple these. For anyone considering a Sigmar or Dickinson stove, I think they should take into account the lack of spare parts. The stoves are expensive enough as it is.

Just keep a note of Steveston. They supply both leisure and commersial sailors on the West coast and have a big customer base. The Dickinson products are widely used over there so if anyone has found an alternate supply it may be them.

Anyone sailors visiting Vancouver might be surprised at what Steveston have and a visit could well be worth it. I usually come home with some goodies .
Brownie points can be earned by taking SWMBO to Granville island which is en route to downtown Vancouver.

It doesn't matter if the size or diameter are an exact match as O ringscan adapt to slight variations. I used to carry a kit to make they up with super glue.

Must have nimble fingers to make these wee things. I m more used to making 300 mm dia O rings for liner OD grooves. though have coped with 6" OD for my port lights. :) :)
