Erm, has anybody here done this?

Apparently you have to strip and clean the regulator/carburettor, which oo-er for a technoklutz like me sounds difficult. Any reassurance that this is actually a simple task gratefully received.

TIA

Have to confess I've never done this with ours - too afraid of screwing up the adjustment.. Doesn't seem to have affected the performance. I do clear out all the carbon from the chamber and rake out the crud from the drain plug on a fairly regular basis. This seems to keep the brute working well.

Cheers,

Colin

Colin,

Thanks for the reply, um, I've (or more accuratley Liz has) done the hoovering and raking but to no avail, the carb seems to be sticking and whilst giving the stove a good clout clears it, it's not a permanent solution.

Ho-hum away to dust off the spanners, etc.
