I need to re-varnish some areas of my dingy. I have a large belt sander which wouldn't fit the contour of the boat and 1/3 sheet sander which probably will not either. Something like this looks ideal:

(Terratek 180w Multi Sander,Orbital,Sheet & Detail sanding plates).

But any advice or comments? Is Terratek any good? Is there a better tool for the job?

Thanks.

The one you are looking at is an importers badge brand. It looks perfectly suitable for your dinghy and well priced. Also look at Screwfix's Erbauer version, it looks very similar so is probably the same Chinese maker. Titan and Erbauer ranges are also just badge ranges (of Screwfix), that they created some years ago. But none the worse for that.

It's your fault, I've now ordered one :-)

Thank you.

The b and q one is 130w. I'm on my second one now. B and q swapped the old one went the velcro deteriorated.
O.K.thanks. Then (based on price) i guess yours is 50 to 60W. Do you find it is powerful enough?
They gave me a new receipt so I can change it again when the velcro goes non sticky. I wonder how long i can continue like this. I presume all velcro attached sanders suffer from the same fault.
