I have been reading the YM for some time now, and also noticed the 'Destinations pull out guides'. They look quite handy. Any opinions?
Are they also available afterwards, I mean; I have missed numbers 1 thru 75 or so /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I am not exactly an unbiased commentator but, Yes, they are good. The pilotage notes should be used for guidance and planning only and are not a substitute for proper charts and the Almanac. That said, though, the guides give you all you need to know to enter a harbour safely, find a suitable mooring and have a good run ashore.

They are very good for giving an over-view of what to expect and what the harbour offers afloat and ashore. The information on shore-side facilities is carefully researched and accurate at the time of writing. But if you are referring back to articles written a year or more ago, you must be prepared to find some changes.

Many, but not all of the old Destinations guides are still available to buy. Contact the YM Editorial office for more information.
